The Essential Essentials-Frankincense

May 15, 2018

Frankincense- I"ll be honest, before we started Mama's Gardens, the only way I knew Frankincense was in relation to the Three Wise Men. Boy, have I learned a lot.

Frankincense is an essential oil that is steam distilled. It's a base note with a woodsy, fresh aroma with hints of fruitiness and a little spice. To say it's a simple aroma would be to sell Frankincense very short.

Studies have shown that Frankincense may boost the immune system as well as give relief from coughs and congestion. So, you can feel better and that nagging cough will go away! Additionally, you may find you sleep better after using some Frankincense. Research has concluded this awesome essential oil has properties to ease insomnia.

Using Frankincense in a soap or lotion may also help fade stretch marks and scars as well as help minor injuries heal faster with less scarring. Plus, research shows us that stress and anxiety may be lessened by using some Frankincense.

By putting a little Frankincense on your toothbrush/toothpaste, studies show you may improve your overall oral health. Not bad. Not bad at all.

If you suffer with rheumatism or arthritis, studies have shown that Frankincense may alleviate some of your symptoms. At the same time, research has concluded that Frankincense may help with menstrual cramps and PMS.

Frankincense. The more you know. We use Frankincense in a host of our products. Please let us know if you have other experiences with this Essential Oil or if you'd like to see Frankincense in any of our products.
