Jasmine is way more than a Disney princess! Without a doubt, this is the most complex and interesting Essential Oil I've researched!
Known for it's sweet and distinctive aroma, many people associate Jasmine with romance or passion, and that's not without reason.
Studies have shown that this nocturnal blooming flower can increase libido as well as amorous feelings. But, aside from that, Jasmine is truly multi-layered.
Feeling sad? Research has shown that Jasmine can stimulate the release of serotonin, a mood elevating hormone. Additionally, Jasmine has been shown to help improve sleep which can lead to greater productivity!
If you have scars, stretch marks or "fat cracks", studies have shown that Jasmine can help fade or eliminate them. Jasmine has also been shown to help hydrate and repair dry, cracked skin. Seems simply wonderful, particularly if you suffer from eczema or dermatitis? Also, if you use Jasmine externally, such as in a soap or lotion, it may help decrease the chances of infection from a cut or scrape.
When used properly, research has shown that Jasmine Essential Oil can work as an expectorant, easing your cough or cold (please note, we are not saying Jasmine will CURE your cold, it may simply ease some of the symptoms.)
Believe it or not, studies has concluded that Jasmine can also ease menstrual pain and may even aid in regulating period cycles. Additionally, Jasmine Essential Oil may provide relief during menopause.
If you're finding your Sacral, Heart or Crown Chakras are blocked or unbalanced, Jasmine may be the perfect Essential Oil to help unblock or align one or all three.
We use Jasmine in a host of soaps and lotions, including our Jasmine-Peppermint Lotion Bar, one of our favorites.
Is there any wonder Disney decided to name a princess after this amazing, multi-faceted Essential Oil?
